COME TO TURKEY AND FEEL LIKE A GOD OR GODESS -- IT COULD BE YOU!!!
TURKEY HAS BEEN THE HOME OF THE GREAT ZEUS, APOLLO, APHRODITE, NIKE, AND THE VIRGIN MARY.
IT MAY HAVE SOME RESEMBLANCE TO YOUR HOME WITH ALL ITS FAMOUS STATUES AND MONUMENTS.
THE CITY OF APHRODISIAS IS FROM THE 2ND CENTURY B.C., WITH ITS FABULOUS GATE, CITY BATH, AND ARENA.
YOU CAN SEE THE LIKENESS TO A MODERN CITY WITH ITS MANY AMENITIES AND MODERN SPORTS STADIUMS.
TURKEY IS KNOWN FOR ITS MINERAL BATHS AND SPRING WATERS. YOU HAVE TO VISIT PAMUKKALE AND SEE FOR
YOURSELF THE SITES OF A UNIQUE, CALCIUM, OXIDE, GEOLOGICAL FORMATIONS. THERE ARE MANY MOSQUES TO VISIT HERE -- DON'T FORGET TO SEE ST. SOPHIA IN ISTANBUL.
THE PEOPLE ARE VERY WARM AND CORDIAL. SHOPPING WAS EXCITING -- WE FOUND MANY BARGAINS AND TREASURES. WE EVEN VISITED THE GRAND BAZAR IN ISTANBUL. MY MOST ENJOYABE EVENT WAS THE CITY BOAT RIDE DOWN THE BOSPHORUS WATERWAY FROM ISTANBUL TO A SMALL FISHING VILLAGE AT THE MOUTH OF THE BLACK SEA. WE WENT SIGHTSEEING, SHOPPING AND HAD A LUNCH OF FRESH FISH. A TRADITIONAL PRACTICE AFTER DINNER IS TO HAVE A TURKISH TEA OR COFFEE WITH A LOCAL TREAT OF RICE PUDDING, OR BAKLAVA. WE MET MANY RESIDENTS THAT SPOKE ENGLISH AND INFORMED US ABOUT THE HISTORY AND PLACES TO SEE IN INSTANBUL. ONE JEWELER , WHO SPOKE GOOD ENGLISH,
WAS GOING TO NEW YORK TO SET UP SHOP. I HAVE MANY FOND AND PLEASANT MEMORIES OF TURKEY.
